    Titebond original for most parts. Epoxy for fretboards. Super glue for a lot of stuff…

    They can be any shape. I guess it’s the traditional design and easier to cut and make rosettes. Mine are an ellipse.

    Soundhole behind the bridge? Pictures would help. If you are talking about placing the soundhole on the lower bout below the bridge I’d say it’s a bad idea. Both tonally and structurally. There are many reasons why I wouldn’t do it. I’m sure one could brace it in a way to compensate for it...

    I don’t find the volute to get in the way of playing. But then again depends on shape and how far it goes. I do like how it looks. May not matter much as far as strength as I use carbon fiber rods anyway but as with much of what I do, it is pleasing on the eye…

    The reason steam is used to bend thick pieces of wood is because the wood dries out and becomes brittle before it gets hot all the way through so it can be bent. From experience certain woods don’t need any moisture if oily enough and bent fairly fast. Other woods, especially figured stuff...

    Custom Ukulele and tone wood

    Personally Redwood is one one my favorite Tonewoods. Kind of in between cedar and spruce. Maybe your builder has sound clips from different wood combos? best of luck
