How you getting on with the Kala dobro. I did a gig in Colwyn Bay with mine last Saturday.

Oh I forgot. I put Worth tenor strings with a Aquilla low G. on my ukulele.....I'm really happy with the result.

Pleased to learn that you have got your self a Kala, they 're really nice. I started a social group asking for pictures of Kala ukuleles on their travels. So if you find your self playing it up a mountain or para gliding or on the beach please think about posting a picture. I sold the ukulele to a lady in Derbyshire so we know that there is one more Bruko player out there.

Yes, the inlay is removeable, you can choose this bridge for custom instruments. The original inlay is made out of plastic, I have made a new one out of bone:

The sound isn´t much effected, but for me it looks nicer.
Brükos are built conservatively, everything is on the save side, most players prefer to lower the action and with a separate inlay it is quite easy to do.

my Brüko is a custom made Soprano. It has the same corpus as a Model 5, but a mahagoni neck and rosewood fingerboard. The prize was EUR 180,-- including a hard case, plus shipping. The standard "5" costs EUR 110,-- including a gigbag.

Ukuleles built by Hubert Pfeiffer are very well made.

How are you getting on with the Pete Howlet? Have you tried playing one of the Kala slim line ukes, loads of sound from beautifully crafted instruments?
