Born in Cottingham (near Hull) in East Yorkshire, England. Emigrated to Canada (Hamilton, Ontario), then to the States (Ridgefield, CT). Married my physics TA at University of Vermont, then both of us moved to California in 1980. Bought a Kohala concert uke from Costco on a trip to Honolulu in March, 2010 and have been obsessed ever since.
