I just noticed your earlier ms. IZ is made in Nazareth. As near as I can tell the only difference in a US or mexican made Martin is about $400 labor cost difference.

Yes the IZ is made in Nazareth. My dad built the factory, My brother's Father-in-Law ran the repair shop. I have many friends and acquaintances who have worked at Martin. WHere I live Martins are very popular. When I tell folks I finally got a Martin I say my wife put it in the wash... Then pull out my uke.
Enjoy your T1K. I bought a 1T IZ in September, solid mahogany. It would be interesting to see how different the two ukes sound. -
