  • Howdy Lori, When I first saw the Uke Leash I thought what a clever Idea. Now I learn you manufacture them as well. Atta Girl. My wife is in the fiber business. spinning and knitting, rolled brim felted hats, etc. That makes me a S.C.U.M. -Spouse of Crafter Union Member. The only problem with cottage industries is you have a factory in your living room. Keep up the good work.
Hi Lori, my Uke Leash arrived today; thanks so much for the fast service! It's great to have my uke supported so I can try different strums and fingerpick patterns. I'll be ordering more headstock straps soon! ~~ Patricia :)
Thanks, Lori! Your advice is helpful. I will get the Little Red Tuner. I think the metronome might be useful; I don't need it when I am playing up to speed, but sometimes while I'm learning a new song I tend to speed up over the parts I can do easily. I'll get the Lite Capo as well. It's $18.95 right now at Elderly, which isn't cheap, but having done a quick cost-benefit analysis (okay, I thought it over for several seconds) I believe I spend enough time with the 'uke in my hands to make it worth buying a good capo over a cheap one. They're adorable, also, which doesn't hurt. Getting violet, which I think will look nice with my Blue Dolphin and which will look lovely with my Someday Ko'aloha (or whatever).

Thanks again! I shall keep you posted because I'll also be needing a Uke Leash. Have a friend coming to the US soon and he'll bring a few little things back for me. Sadly, not the Someday Ko'aloha. I'll be in touch!

    Hi Lori,

I need to get a tuner! I remember you posted in some thread or other, and I find your posts really helpful but I can't find that particular thread (honestly, do you have any idea how many tuner-related threads there are?!). Any chance you could offer a recommendation? I'm thinking of Snark, but don't know which. I will probably order from Elderly. Also ordering a Shubb Lite capo, which you were apparently the first person in the world to own.

Thanks lots for any input! I've been playing since the first of the year, and having been a violinist the idea of needing anything more than a tuning fork to tune was a little foreign, but since I didn't know my way around the 'uke strings I went ahead and ordered.. a pitch pipe!... which was out of tune! Lesson learned.

    Lily
Hi Lori, my Uke Leash has arrived safely, and I love it! Thank you! So glad I read about it and got one....easy, comfortable, a great product! I've written about it on my blog today. Have a lovely day!
    Hi Lori,

I appreciate your offer, but I'd rather my post not be linked to more places on the internet. You could probably post Willie's website link.
    See you next month,
    Ginny
Lori~ you're my first UU friend :) ~ I just discovered UU last month and am now working my way through UU102. Wanted to connect with more UU folks who are also on the journey to become better ukulele players.
    Hi Lori,
My Uke Leash and our extra collars are here! I just know this will make me a better player! Thanks. GT
Just received my lovely brown UkeLeash yesterday- Five days from the US to Germany- It has to be some sort of record. It took a minute or so to set up because I was so excited, I thought the directions book was a bookmark. I noticed the difference in uke holding stability, right away. Thanks again!
Aloha Lori :) Thanks for being a UU friend:) Hope all is well, and of course, happy strumming! :)
You inbox is full miss lori.

I don't have anything planned down in LA right now, and I drive an old dodge caravan so I try not to drive it too far since it's on it's last legs, but I could meet you here in SB or halfway to LA. I'll get back to you on when I'm free this weekend.
Lori, I wanted to say hello and that I was glad to meet you at the Mighty Uke showing. I ducked out to buy a t-shirt and didn't make it back to see the group ukulele playing because I had to get back to work. Happy strumming.
    Hi Lori,
It was great meeting you at the Mighty Uke event yesterday. Now I have UAS for a Makala dolphin. All your fault! I want the green but they are apparently sold out all over.

The only other color I like is the orange burst like yours so I hope you don't mind my copying you! If I am able to procure one, I'll be back at your site to get a matching orange leash for it. :)
