The organizer is Ty Olopai (pacificrhythmslf.com), who is like the Johnny Appleseed of the ukulele here in South Florida. He's founded 3 ukulele groups (Broward, Palm Beach, and Martin Counties) and the South Florida Ukulele Fest is the next step. Performances (including by The Barnkickers), workshops, a ukulele vendors, all in a great setting right on the water in Fort Lauderdale.
