  • Thanks, Im still doing great with the weight loss. Still a long way to go, but still on track.

As far as sopranos, eventially we will start offering them, but not near as many. Most of these ukes will be Tenors and Concerts. I will have a carved top tenor ready soon too which is cool. The sopranos we are talking about are traditional style, friction tuners, with some nice subtle inlay work. Acacia, Mahogany and Maple, also some spruce top stuff in the near future. I hope by end of year to start up my exclusive style with my logo and all in MOP on the headstock. Thanks again for checking in..
    hello from the mainland!

starting up a group - West of Scotland Ukulele Players, technically that includes you although you may find it hard to get to Glasgow for meetups!

I'm hoping it might grow into a network for players on the whole West Coast for supplies/gigs etc. For some reason can't get a Group started on UU but have added details on the Regional Meetups part of the forum.

So far all the organisational aspect has been done through facebook but we may well be starting a website.

Let me know if you'd like more details.

    Pete,
Are you on the Isle of Rhum West coast of Scotland?
A friend of mine was island manager there once. Offered me a job at the castle/hotel

hey brother! re: tough crowd. prolly true of any group of folks that have established a group dynamic. new blood always throws some folks a curve, it messes with the pecking order. i wouldn't take it too personal. i haven't joined a group yet that has accepted me!

anyhoo nice to meet you and see ya in the funny papers (and around here too i hope!)
