the KA-TEM-E3 seems like the cooler ukulele, but the KA-TE is more affordable

I'd personally get the TEM-E3, because its a new model with the built-in tuner and cool exotic look.

Generally, if the description does not state it as a solid-top, it is laminate.
But there is no need to be a solid-top purist. Laminates sound just fine, and come with the added bonus of being super-durable.
I'd rather get a good laminate ukulele than a cheap solid ukulele.

yes, according to the description, the Cordoba has a solid mahogany top, and the KA-TE is a laminate.
