How would you make a ukulele sound like an electric guitar?

OK, so how is he getting that sound, and how close could you get with a basic uke, a basic amp, and a hundred pounds/dollars to spend on pedals?

Sounds like high gain. Some amps have it built in, or if you need a pedal, search some metalhead pedals like Boss HM-2. Maybe Ultra Metal at Sweetwater for $30. Mind you, I don't stand by this pedal (I've never heard it), it's merely an example.

I didn't like the one fuzz pedal I tried so I went with an EXH Soul Food pedal. I tried a Moore Blues Mood, and BOSS OD 3 and another overdrive my son had. I'm also using a Fender Smolder Acoustic Overdrive now.
