hi Berni, thanks for hosting.
hope you and your family stay strong in this difficult time.
Wonderful theme. So many great songs to cover. I have one in mind, but I don't have the space and time to learn and record it yet.
But here's an impromptu version of something I wrote in 2017.
say it...
Hi again, Sabine!
I obviously don't keep my promise....😛
this song is based on a painting I made, which is the one in this video.
here are the words:
She wore a matchstick brow, and a twiggy frown.
2 troublemakers ready to set the world on fire.
The fishes jump over the moon,
Above the...
Sweetness rules, doesn't it?
Um. If I don't stop myself I might not have time to go to the toilet, shower, do housework, groceries, feed the cat, talk to people in real life, stare at the sky, etc..
I can get obsessed with making music/videos!
I did a simple song about this bird nest for Sabine's season.
Today I took a few more (slightly better quality) photos.....
It has been windy, and raining on and off...the nest remains.
The "naughty kids" have not done any damage so far.
I spotted the mother on the antenna nearby....poor photo...
Letting someone eat crackers in your bed is a big deal. Such a sweet song. And so beautifully done, Alan.
Here's another love song from me. It also has crackers in it.
There is a type of crackers I love to eat with black coffee... called sugar crackers, which is just sugar on crackers. Mmmmm...
Thanks for a great week, John!
And what Lynda said - great idea!
(As you all know, if there is no limit, I will not be sorry to post as many as I like!😝)
Well, whoever hosts can set the rules!
Congrats! Making the portrait tomorrow!
Haha! That's a great comment, Del! I think I made you look like a baby....(i think he looks cute:love: Like a sad puppy...) I'm relieved you didn't seem to mind!
Phew. Thanks for the comment. :---)
Actually, it takes quite a thick skin to draw people. I...
SO happy to know, Rob!
It was an accident and I made it into part of the video. :--)
Hi again, Sabine. I don't see a limit on songs...
Um...I have another one.
the hummingbirds built this nest outside my library. I made this song about it. I wish I had better footage of them building their...
I posted a version of this earlier but I felt it was lacking something....So I used my lunch break to add something to it.
I wished I had more time to figure out how to make the videos bigger.
Hope you like it, Sabine!
This is an adapted version of Grant Lee Buffalo's You Just Have To Be Crazy.
Thanks for hosting, Sabine.
I was playing around with some open D tuning on my bari uke today. Did an improv, and then added another improv over the first.
I thought it needed some vocals...so I sang, on repeat, these lines :
You think I am crazy?
I don't have BPD.
The paintings I used to make...
Thanks Heinz!
Thanks Rick! <3
I really enjoyed your jingles!
I have added it to the playlist anyway. I like your rendition, Jim. Thanks for sharing it!
I am bombarding you with the last of my 5 songs, John!
An improvised one.
Well I wrote down some words and went with it. Saw Berni playing his Yamaha guitalele and I wanted to play mine too. Especially when you also play a few, and so well too. It is my way of showing my respect to you.
This is...
I had a pleasant surprise today. Bruce Findlay commented on my Incredible String Band cover.......
I think it was the man himself....argh.
Anyway. Life goes on. haha.
There is another Joni Mitchell song that I would love to try one day...but maybe not this time.
I did find a Harry Chapin song...
Thank you John, Edwin, Lynda, Jim, Victoria and @hands_on_lanzon for your warm words of kindness and friendship! I am so happy you had enjoyed the season and like the drawings I made!
Thank you @hands_on_lanzon for being part of this week! So glad it had played a part in your learning of that...
Sorry to interrupt, John.
I'm here to share that the wrap for Jingles week is up!
There is a winner.
