Yes, the Rondo is a good choice.
www.Rondomusic.com is the link, then in the search box type; bass uke. They have acoustic and solid body models, 21 or 24 inch scale, depending on availability. You could have a setup done, but the solid body models have an adjustable bridge that you can easily lower if necessary, the acoustic does not so if you want to lower the action, the saddle would have to be sanded down.
The Aquila cream colored strings are fine to start, I do prefer the black Road Toad Pahoehoe that come with the Kala U-bass, but they're a pain to install and take a longer time to settle in, but they are very smooth, where the Aquila are sticky.
