Will the Martin S1 fit in basic soprano ukulele hard case they are selling in the ebay? The body seems to be a little thicker than average sopranos. I haven't got my Martin yet, and I can't find the dimension of the body thickness from the internet.
Anyway, I know I want a hard case for it instead of the padded gigbag that comes with it. Can you suggest a really good hard case and where to get one (I live in Finland) with reasonable price? All my instruments have proper cases and I'm not going to slip from my principles with this.
Cheers!

I know this thread is coming up on ten years old, but for the sake of internet posterity I wanted to point out that I just got a non-vintage Martin S1 and the Stagg hard tweed soprano case fits great. No rocking, and maybe only 1/4" of give around either side of the lower bout, if that. Just barely long enough to fit the uke top to bottom. Way better than the Ohana case, which allowed it to seesaw.

Hi,
I have four of these cases - three are for my Martin sopranos.
http://www.amazon.com/Guardian-CG-044-US-Vintage-Hardshell-Soprano/dp/B001BNQ6TO

The price flucuates on Amazon so you can set up a camelcamelcamel.com account.
That Guarduan soprano case is my favorite: fits like a glove, no excess room at the top (very compact), gorgeous cushy green interior, and arched top. The Oahu arch top cases, offered by the Ukulele Site, are a close second, with excellent snug fit, arch top, black interior, exterior rings to attach an included strap. It is slightly longer, with excess room at the head. The Oakhurst are very vintage looking, almost like an old Martin case, less glossy exterior than the Guardian.

Gator cases- both the black and the Journeyman fit Martins perfectly. Very nicely made cases
I can (sort of ) confirm. The Timms I used to own was a Martin S-1 replica, and the hard Gator soprano case (the black one) fit it perfectly.
