Hi guys, I want to bring the tin whistle and melodica into some of our band songs, my question is:- do I play them in the same key as the uke or do I transpose them up or down to get a better harmony? Looking forward to your replies

As I understand it, melodica is a non transposing instrument so should be fine to play in the same key as the uke. I believe the most common tin whistle is a D instrument meaning you would need to transpose it down a whole step from the uke key - or transpose the uke up a whole step - or capo the uke at the second fret and play them in the same key. Hope that makes sense.
