I have not heard this, but it isn’t surprising. It’s tough out there right now, in a competitive industry, on an expensive island, working with expensive wood.

I'm not surprised by the price increases. Kanile'a and Kamaka have been going up and up every year. All ukes really. But it getting pretty expensive for the entry-level Hawaiian Ukes now.

I'm glad that I got my K ukes when I did because the current prices are kinda pricey.

I brought my KoAhola tenor to a jam last night, and I was surprised by how good it sounds. I'll have to play it more often.
