Well done, sir! Thank you for posting. An Everly Brothers classic, on soprano uke.
Thanks Bill, might be a good one for your solo gigs...nothing like a 3-chord wonder!Awesome, John! Moves along really nicely!
You bet! There are quite a few nice 3-chord wonders out there! Thanks Bill, might be a good one for your solo gigs...nothing like a 3-chord wonder!
...and might there be a gig or two on the horizon...?Thanks Scruggs, Ducky, Bill and Ziret. It was a fun song to learn and add to my set list, if there were any gigs 😀
Not sure, but I'd like to. Haven't had any gigs since leaving behind my guitars and and band a few years ago, due to hand issues. Strictly ukes ever since, but I don't see any ukes being gigged around here....and might there be a gig or two on the horizon...?
So... you'd be offering something that people don't get to see a lot! Just a thought, John-- if you assembled maybe 10 of your favorite songs, featuring just your uke and your voice (maybe use a small PA so that you don't feel you have to over-play or over-sing), that would be plenty for an appearance at a retirement or memory care facility. By the time you visit with the folks a little bit in between songs, you'll have filled a 45-minute time slot, which tends to be about right for that kind of outing. I can almost guarantee they'll want you to come back. Not sure, but I'd like to. Haven't had any gigs since leaving behind my guitars and and band a few years ago, due to hand issues.
