Hiutale International Ukulele Contest, January 2022 in Finland

The details of the first Hiutale International Ukulele Contest for solo instrumentalists have been published. The jury will select semifinalists, based on videos that are submitted by October 24, 2021. The semifinals and the final take place on 13th and 14th January, 2022 in Leppävirta, Finland.

Cool! Yes it will be cool in Leppavirta in January, unless climate change has up-ended even that!

Historically, one could expect highs of -6° and lows of -12°, with 84% chance of snow.

Interesting aside: the name 'Hiutale' means 'flake', as in snow flake!
