hey guys this is an amazing song by the animals and has been covered by many different people and groups
i was wandering if anyone has a picking versing not just strumming or if any1 could tab it out
i dont think it would be that hard but thanks for the help in advance people

Great song I'm learning to play it....
It's in Bluegrass sheet music book I got.
I am off work tomarrow so I'll tab out the notes.

But it's not by the Animals...
They just made it famous!!!

yea man ive heard its a folk song before but the animals is a good version and i love eric burdons voice in it when he originaly did it with them not so much when his older. and sweet thanks heaps for tabbing it out i appreciate it heaps

This was one of the first songs I learned on guitar, back in the early 1960s. I still like it. Always liked the Animals, and have all of their music. Great band! They brought a lot of older R&B and blues to the pop scene.

Easy to play:
Dm F G Bb
Dm F A7
Dm F G Bb
Dm A7 Dm A7

I usually play the A7 as 2130 rather than 0100 in the second line, then 0100 and 2130 the last line.

You can play it higher up the neck, but it gets a bit shrill;
Dm as 7555
F as 10-988 or 5558
G as 12-11-10-10 or 777-10
Bb as7565 or 3565 (I usually just dampen the G so it's x565). If you have a cutaway you can also play it on the 13th fret as 15-14-13-13, but it sounds too high to me (it's a blues piece after all)
A7 as 9-9-9-10
