I bought my daughter a Kala KT-MT tenor Mango uke Christmas before last. Is it solid wood or laminated? I thought when i bought it the person I got it from said it was solid wood. Thanks.

Pretty sure it is laminate. I had one a few years back and it was for sure laminate. But who knows maybe they change things since then.

I can't find any reference to KT-MT but I do see a KA-MT

Yes, it's laminate. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I have one of those. It was my first uke. Great uke, still use it. It's laminate, and can sound great in low g tuning. Many times spalted woods need to be laminate because the spalted wood is weaker.

It sounded so good right after I got it for her that I wanted to keep it but then I had to string it up lefty for her and I haven't played it since. Your right it doesn't matter at all I was just wondering.
How's it sound? Probably doesn't matter at all.
