Hello Everyone,
I am looking to expand my Uke collection and after lurking here for quite awhile, I have decided to take the plunge and get a Mainland Concert based on all I have read.

My only question is I can't decide b/w mahogany or cedar. Can anyone shed a little light on the differences b/w the two?

thanks

SG

I will watch this thread with interest - that said, I am an impatient bugger, and I bought a Concert Mahogany without waiting to hear about the Cedar - (and partially, because getting a Cedar in the UK is trickier)

I personally love the way it looks and sounds - I'm happy, and oh well, if the cedar turns out interesting, I'll have to buy another.........!

I have both. I think the Mahogany is warmer sounding, but not as loud. The Cedar is has a lovely tone and good projection. I also have their Spruce top Concert. And, I really like it a lot. Oh man, they are all great instruments!!!
