Hi all. Along with the Uke I play piano. I have a 2005 Yamaha P70 electric piano and want to connect it to my Focusrite Soloist interface. The piano has a MIDI out feature on the back and I got a MIDI to music cable adapter but all I get is a loud feedback buzz.

Not sure if anyone has any experience with this, or have recommendations. There are 1/8 inch headphone jacks in the front of the piano that I could try connect but it is a bit cumbersome and an eyesore. I wanted to record some uke and piano tracks.

Thanks in advance.

The Focusrite Solo can't read midi. If you want to use the midi, you'll need to get a midi to USB cable and connect it directly to your computer. Or use the headphone jack.
