Yes, it’s a NUD, but my main purpose in posting is to call attention to an awesome ukulele shop in Highland Park, Illinois (north suburban Chicago): Aloha City Ukes. I have no affiliation with them, other than being a wildly happy customer.

Matt was so helpful, and I found a wonderful Opio tenor with a full, rich tone.

All you Chicagolanders, go visit Aloha City Ukes soon! Aloha City is 1/2 block from the Ravinia Metra train station, so it is very easy to reach from anywhere in the Chicago area via the Metra system. There’s a lovely little park right across the street, so you can relax and play your new uke while you wait for your return train.

I am happy and excited that you do a NUD here but I think you need to back track and do more than just one NUD !

congrats on the tenor! i have a spruce Opio tenor that i absolutely love. Yesterday i ordered a KSO-02 from Matt at Aloha City Ukes. He's great. stellar customer service.

You don't see many stores like that outside of Hawaii. Good discovery.

Congrats! I've never had the chance to play an Opio, vut the acacia tenors look great, wood and finish looks as good as a Koaloha.
