New Uke YAY!

Here is the new Uke that I pondered upon a lot until I finally decided. It's a Kala FMT, Spruce top and Spalted Flame Maple sides and back. Satin finish. Got it from HMS, I like it.

Just acquired a locally made Bro-Jo cigar box uke at Willies American Guitars - steel strings with pickup. I'm having a blast with it!

Here is my new Collings UC-1. I buffed the satin finish to a gloss with Novis 2 Fine Scratch Remover, recommended by Mark Althans at Collings, using an old T-shirt. It took about 3 1/2 hours and turned out great. It's a beautifully made, easy playing and wonderful sounding 'ukulele.

I know how you feel. I had to leave my custom at home when we went to Hawaii 3 weeks ago. Didn't feel natural.
