Succumbed to UAS

Many of you know that I have a Custom Boat Paddle Kayak Tenor being built and almost completed. Well while in Hawaii the other week I stopped by HMS and fell in LOVE. She sounded sooooo sweet and like a siren called out to me. It was as if she was created just for me. How did the luthier know what I was looking for? You can guess what it is, but who is the maker? Pepe Romero!!! The irony of this is that, being from San Diego, I had to come to Hawaii to find one of Pepe's ukes...and he lives in San Diego...go figure.

I'll post my personal review at a later time. Suffice to say that this is one of the best sounding ukulele that I have ever played. Here are some pics.

Congrats. A guy's gotta do what a guy's gotta do. If I ever get to Hawaii, I'm buying a uke regardless of who is building what on the mainland.

Yes that is the one. They have another one with ebony fretboard and an all Mahogany Cigar box ukulele made by Pepe #1
