Has anyone seen another one of these? It's an early 1920s Oscar Schmidt 5K of all koa encrusted with pearl and abalone from stem to stern. I believe this to be a one-off built as a presentation piece...............

A Slingerland May-Bell, a gift from my friend Jimmy Bowskill, and a Banjoette with a replaced neck.
When I bought the Banjoette, it was $12because the neck was twisted beyond repair. I got Dave Fox to build me a new neck and asked him to use the Gumby headstock overlay. He did a beautiful job, but, being a guitar builder, he put the position marker at the 9th instead of the 10th fret. Since I don't domuch playing up there on the banjolele, it doesn't really bother me. I wasn't sure I'd like the maple board, but I've grown quite fond of it.

That's quite an extreme reaction but I'm glad you like it........it is nice. Sounds like those old, mid-rangy instruments of the era.

Probably not many people's taste but my two baritones and a LORGE cat 😅
The turquoise-y baroqulele one arrived a couple days ago and I set immediately to decorating it. The strings and tuners were not great but I've swapped them out and its a load better now.
Now just to get good at playing them 😅

I cannot handle how beautiful this ukulele is

I think I just shit myself and also spontaneously combusted and then morphed into a giant eagle from the awesomeness of this uke

I don't have it yet but I'm getting a pretty bomb 5-stringer soon

I'm finishing up a ton of cleaning I've been avoiding, then I'm getting myself the 5-stringed one as a reward. Very stoked, it looks so badass - it has a raven as the bridge. A Voran for a Voran :D

Look at my Nope-o-lele.

*holds up a macabre looking instrument shaped like a blackwidow spider; plucks rusted strings producing monstrous screams*

Sorry, I just had to semi vent after I found out bongoleles exist. Poor mutilated things.
