amping it easy...my tools are minimal as I never had any before I started this. I got a junky portable table saw in the trunk of my car that wont turn on an angle cuz the teeth are busted, a drill with a bad chuck and a dremel...of course some miscellaneous junk, but you dont need fancy tools to make something awesome. you can shave the nut with the dremel and sand paper, and slot it with a torch tip tool for $3 etc. The easiest way to inlay is to paper punch one of them fancy guitar pics and inlay it. Drill a shallow hole, fill in gaps with sawdust and glue with fancy pick on top.

yeah, thats Jay from cbnation...he makes some great stuff, and the guy can PLAY! that'll be a good start for you.

Dice would be awesome for tuners...What kind of pickup are you going to use and how will you wire it? I can do volume and tone, but they say that tone is negligible on a piezo and helps more with feedback than anything...so I've only used tone on a mag pup.

how many frets are you gonna make? I was thinking of inlay...diamond, heart, spade, and club is cool but its only four although you could just go with diamonds...that would work nice. You could maybe grind out a few cheap casino chips...I dont really know, never been there and dont really have a desire to go keep me posted

    those guys are great...

I would browse the 8 billion pics and some videos...do a member search for Ted Crocker and Old Lowe to search their pics give you a good idea of some diversity.

if you have any questions...go directly to chat. Alot of the guys are great artists in there builds, but only a few of them are technically proficient luthier wise.
