Jim - I don't know if you ever located a Kala Acacia Tenor but I noticed that Hawaii Music Supply has them in stock now if you check ebay. Happy strumming! - Mary

I'm moving to MN at the end of May. Gigs will be in Winona, MN and Eau Claire, WI. Sorry. Nothing in Bethlehem. I appreciate your enthusiasm.

    Hi Jim,
My ASAC-T was the second ukulele I bought and my first tenor. I played it all the time until I bought a Big Island Honu solid koa tenor, and then I converted my Kala to low g tuning. I play my Kala less now, because I'm usually playing my other tenor, but I still like it a lot. It has a nice feel and I like the sound.

There are video reviews of this ukulele on YouTube, including this one from a UU member:

There were a few Kala ASAC-Ts for sale a while ago in the marketplace forum here. I bought mine from musicguymic (UU username MGM). Here's a link to his eBay store: You could call or email him to see if he has one. He often has ukuleles not listed in his eBay store, as he has a shop on Oahu.

    I hope that helps.
  5. Nice! Thanks Plainsong. I will actually be heading back over to Finland next week. If I get some time I may check it out.

I live in Helsinki. I haven't been able to go back home for a while. There is one uke shop, and they have mostly Lanikai and the like. Music shops here are generally pretty poor, but the guy who runs Millbrook is pretty good. He tries to carry more a good selection of bang-for-buck instruments. Also, he's got the full range of Aquila strings, which is handy. - the site is in Finnish, but he speaks English.

I have played guitar for a number of years (not too seriously) and decided on a whim to buy a ukulele while at a local music shop. To me it has been more fun than playing guitar, so I do it much more often!
