The 5 string plays just like a 4 string for most intents and purposes. It's like a 4 string with a fancier sounding G note.

what kinds are there to purchase. I searched online but didn't find all that much info that was helpful. And I'd like to stick with wood, but I realize that they cost as much as an ohana or kala... or a fluke I wouldn't put that much money in it until I'm serious about it. What sort of material would you recommend? Ceramic vs Wood advantage? I know ceramics break real easy if you drop it... but sound wise, do they all pretty much sound the same?
