Your Gretsch Electromatic is a late 1954 model. I sent you a reply back on the PM board but I don't know if it went or not and it was a long-winded deal that I'd rather not retype. Anyway, it was made by Valco for Gretsch. Valco/National lap steels are highly regarded. Hope this helps.
