Exactly! Running an "event" is serious business and takes alot of work. It can be a drag and suck alot of joy from the planning and experience overall. Of course seeing an event be pulled off is a great achievement and brings much pride. Having a get together...which there doesn't seem to be...

Traffic is a relative thing lol. It depends on how you go. You might hit traffic in NJ. You might hit traffic in NYC. Leaving at the time you are and getting to Brooklyn by 4:30...you should have PLENTY of time.

OK...Brooklyn is not Manhattan. Parking facilities are NOT insanely expensive and with a little circling around you'll probably find parking near the venue. Traffic can be a bit rough on the BQE during rush hour BUT it is usually worse heading the opposite way of where you will be heading...
