  • Many thanks, Voran, for your sympathy and the virtual hugs - I never refuse a hug! Well, not very often, anyway.

It became obvious that my wife would go first and I thought I was prepared for it. Little did I know! The worst aspect was the almost overwhelming sense of guilt. I had nothing for which to feel guilty - only that I was still alive. But I'm back enjoying life again.

All the best and thanks again,

    John
Here's Brian's (Pabrizzer) Self Defense that you missed on Saturday Voran. Hope you get well soon.

True Neil. I'm sure that Brian wrote it from the point of view of Kyle Rittenhouse. Some people think he is still a murderer, even though the courts acquitted him, while others think he is a patriot and a hero. Whether or not he is guilty of murder, he sure hasn't done anything to be elevated to the status of hero.

I think he's simply a person who acted in self defense. He's not an angel, and probably went looking for trouble, but if you're on the ground being beaten over the head with a skateboard, I think you have the right to shoot the attacker.

TMI! I just meant that lyrics are art and not something that I would say I agree with or disagree with. I just come from a mindset that lyrics are not statements, just part of the song. Otherwise I probably wouldn't have gone to that Slayer concert in the 1990s (or The Cure).:)
