Sold Kanile’a K-1C

I’ve decided to list my Kanile’a K-1C which I acquired in a trade here on UU in 2023. My sopranos are getting all my play time these days. I’d love this one to go to a new loving home. Listing for sale but also open to trading for something comparable.

It has the serial number 0119-19538 which I believe means it was manufactured in 2019. It has the latest Tru-r bracing system and is finished in the UV gloss with the UV satin neck.

It is in like-new condition and currently has a pretty new set of worth clear strings on it. The sale will also include the hard case in the photos. I live in a humid climate but it has also been stored in a humidified case when not in use.

The Koa has some subtle curl that I tried to capture in the photos. The wood has a gorgeous shimmering effect when moved in the light.

This ukulele is really amazing. I don’t think anything really rivals the feel of the UV finish. It has a very sweet tone and can really project when you want it to.

Without boring you all with the details. This Kanile'a is back in my hands after some back and forth on the previous trade I arranged. All parties were left happy.

All that said... I still would love a new-ish Kamaka HF-1. Specifically the current iteration with the Gotoh tuners. I'd also love to try a Kanile'a K-1S since I think this Kanile'a is so nice, but I'm a soprano guy. Anybody interested in trading?

I'm surprised that this listing hasn't generated more interest. I had a chance to see and play this K-1C and can assure you all that it is a great ukulele. The fit and finish is top notch and it has great tone.
