My most favorite tree this time of year is the Maple. I love to watch them change. In honor of it, I started my 1st all maple Aphid. Just looking at it already, it's gonna be purdee..

Yup! Strangely, someone, probably an east coast person, built a neighborhood in Berkeley, CA, that has a maple-lined street. It looks beautiful around Thanksgiving.

The colors are just awesome at this time of the year here and we are blessed with abnormally warm weather for this season to enjoy it.
I am lucky to live in the land of maple and maple syrup to view these colors although I'd like to live in Hawaii, California or Florida in winter !
in my opinion, maple as a tonewood gives good note seperation and is more "transparent".....does not enrich the sound with overtones like rosewood does. I'm sure a luthier could better describe it.
