I'm looking for a good uke... so I heard Lanikai LU21 Standard is pretty good. I can't find any ukulele stores where I live so I pretty much have to get it online. Any suggestions about good ukes for beginners?

The Lanikai LU21 is a good uke, I've had the LU21 concert size and have a Lanikai CK concert uke and I love them both. They are well built and sound good.

You can get one on Amazon for $49 here:

MusicGuyMic has a shop on eBay and sells a tonne of Kalas which are of similar quality, you might want to check that out too. I don't have any experience of them though.

I can recommend the Lanikai S-C. It has a solid spruce top and unlike a lot of the Lanikai range, it's made in Hawai, not China.

The back/sides are two-piece mahogany with a dark centre-stripe, unbound mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard with small dot position markers. Looks very tidy.

The supplied strings are not good and need throwing away!
Put a set of Aquilla strings on and the tone is outstanding. Single notes are clear ringing and sustain well. It has a very harp like quality.

I'm in the UK, so prices are quite a lot higher for me but I'm still really happy with this Uke.

Retail in the USA is $150.00 but I've seen plenty discounted to $90.00
Add a set of Aquillas a clip-on tuner (Intelli) and a gig bag. This could be all the Uke you ever need.
