I bought a block of yew and cut it up with the intention of making it into a lute, however it's a bit too knotty. I'm sure it'd work great for some of you uke builders though?

Each peice is a meter long x 40mm wide x 3mm thick. I cut 15 pieces. PM me if interested.

I'd use those strips for lute ribs. The 'knots' in yew are always tight and you have some lovely sap contrast going on there.

Trust me, if there was enough knot-free wood for me to do that, I would've, as I said above.
