ukebug throws in a paracord hanger (and the ubiquitous sticker)... even better, and more useful
I had a kala like that- a too narrow, leaning saddle shimmed underneath with a piece of ziptie. And it came straight from Kala new, as a warranty replacement. Not a cheap laminate either. Pretty...
no the gauges or sizes of the files... how big/wide of a slot will they cut? often those cheap file sets are not accurate or are too big. and if making a new nut, I wouldn't recommend those torch...

Seems like an easy experiment...
If you liked that, listen to Brad's podcast on the subject
THAT's their "fix"? SMH. If you catch a cracked/broken tab before it completely breaks off, you can do that yourself with super glue and a thin piece of shrink tubing. I did that on my last and...
I saw that one in mp, that's a bummer. if you haven't done so already, you might contact koaloha and see what they suggest. you never know...

Reds are not good for plastic frets either. Search for enya nova and outdoor ukulele experiences. Fremont has non-wound fluorocarbon low G strings.
Take it to a luthier?
The expectation is 0. The likely reality is 1, maybe 2 (with 1 or 2 others being sold)
