The ukulele IS a full-blown instrument :p
Heh, I had to do the same. Due to time differences and how short her order window is, I ordered my Ohana uke at 4am Friday. Her window would be closed by the time I normally have to get up.
I own three tenors and they're my three top ukes. They're the first three in my sig.
My tough beater uke is an Enya too, but it's one of the HPL models. No worries about paint or warping with those.
Wow, old thread! I'm sure his ukulele was fine, since it was 8 years ago lol.
I would just do old school and put it in a locking case and bike-lock the case to the table.
Mixed wood tops are a pretty niche thing. Most people don't really want one.
This is probably why wind synths are growing in popularity. You could use one to emulate your tenor recorder, too.
I stuck with the Kanile'a-branded Aquila super nylguts on mine, because I like how they sound. I did switch to the wound G from the Kanile'a outlet store, though.
There could well be something...
I sell instruments I never play. Maybe it's because I don't have room for a ton of things, but it's more likely I don't really get very attached to things I don't use.
LOL for a second I got all jealous that such a shop was local to you. Nice! Then I remembered the K shops and HMS/TUS are my local shops and almost slapped myself for being silly.
Ahh ok.
Isn't that what everyone hated on Kala for doing? Screwing dealers by selling direct at the same price?
That's really cute!
I've seen a lot of his videos pop up when I youtube a question I have, so I guess I find his content very helpful sometimes. But I've got to say the way he can't talk without swinging his arms...
It's extremely odd to use a lower grade of Koa on the left side of the soundboard than the right. A $1300 instrument shouldn't be constructed out of whatever you could find lying around the shop...
It sure isn't reddit. The ukulele subreddit is less active than here.
LOL thanks. No wonder I couldn't find it.
Cadia, how do you do that "signature" like you have on your posts where you list your ukes? I looked all over the profile section and I can't figure it out.
Didn't they redo the sugars to be less squeaky after customer feedback?
I use beads with my Kanile'a too. It's definitely the way to go.
It's not that kind of bankruptcy. It's just a restructuring of debt.
Lovely grain!
They must have started the TRU-R bracing earlier than 2020, because my 2019 K-2 T has it.
That's really different-looking. Pretty neat. I love really unique ukes.
Wow, old thread for sure! But if anyone's looking to buy one in 2021, the Vox Amplugs got completely reworked with better quality parts a couple years ago.
Of course I'm serious. Calling people "politically correct" is one of the oldest baiting tactics on the internet. It's been a way to start fights since the USENET days. It's the internet equivalent...
