    I loop & twist excess string length at the tuners, (why bother cutting them short), if you snap one near to the bridge end, you can just unwind, pull the string down, & tie it to the bridge again. ;)

    Ha, ha - there was in my case - KoAloha tenor...

    Ha, ha - there was in my case - KoAloha tenor necked concert solid acacia - I'm just attracted to 'long neck' ukes - (most of mine have smaller than normal bodies for their scale lengths). :music:

    Nearly all my ukes are low G - those lower notes...

    Nearly all my ukes are low G - those lower notes allow you to play a lot more tunes, which quite often go below middle C, plus I prefer linear, as I tend to down strum mainly. :music:

    It basically means changing the note you are singing whilst pronouncing a word - you don't have to go up an octave though, just a couple of semitones should do. ;)
