Definitely the strings would be different but I'm surprised they list these as completely different models. I'm with you on the E tuning. I've tried it on baritone scale and it was "meh, ok" but much...

Mmmm, it doesn't really work that way. Standard tension classical guitar strings that yield E2-to-E4 tuning on guitar yield A2-to-A4 tuning on 17" guitalele. Trying to wind that up to E3-to-E5 tuning...

I've generally practiced that too, but recently found that my video camera has a "low cut" filter I had not been using. I always go through noise reduction processing with the captured audio, but...

I'm not familiar with that particular interface, but jack to jack (1/4" input) should be just fine - that's what it is for. Save the XLR input for a microphone or if that happens to be the output...

hmm, it's a good question about resale, but I'm gonna say "not really". You can expect almost all used ukes to resell for at least 25% less than new. Some more.

I haven't tried. I had a 19" scale that came with E strings but even there, I didn't like it as good as G-to-G. If I was going to try E-to-e for 17" scale, I'd probably try this octave higher set:...

We've recently had the truss rod discussion. To summarize:
    -sometimes they help
    -a few ukes have them
-most do not, including many very expensive brands and customs

I'm not saying a truss rod...

Just take it slow, especially at the nut.
And tenor tension doesn't have to be high. Tuning down a half step or two or three can really help. And some sets are lower tension than others
