Hi Ben,
I suspect it would depend on the thread of the new screws. If you don’t have good contact, you can refill the old holes with a sliver of wood and drill an appropriate hope for the new screws.

Hi Larry. PM sent.
It didn’t occur to me at first, as mine is mahogany, but the Romero Creations Tiny Tenor also comes in Koa. There is one at Elderly for $799 and they come with a nice padded soft case. It is a boat...
As you are looking for instruments to consider and not strictly recommendations I expect you are intending to look further into specs, sound samples, and hopefully work to get your hands on some...
Tried it with 5 different books. Unfortunately it worked for none of them.
Out of curiosity, did you put a high g on it? It may come from years of 5 string banjo playing, but playing clawhammer with a low G simply seem wrong to my ears.
I started on a banjo uke, but then I was primarily interested in learning clawhammer banjo. 5 years later I came back around to the ukulele which I’m playing much more than the banjo at this time....
Only if you need another source of temptation. :D

I’ve made a similar observation yogitom. Add to the equation options that I wouldn’t have opted for taking a used instrument above the new price for a spec I’d select if buying new. Buying used is...
Not playing baritone, I’m assuming that non-wound fluorocarbon sets are available to make a comparison.
I’d start with the diameter for strings from a fluorocarbon set and make comparisons with Seaguar Blue Label diameters for different test lines.
Hi UkinhViking. While not an expert at all I’d think that embellishments or ornamentation would have a couple different parts that play together. The notes themselves probably follow the key you are...
Thank you, this look really interesting. I just ordered a copy to take on a trip this coming week.
To BC Island Girl, Kanile'a makes a beautiful sounding and playing tenor. If you can afford the instrument, it feels right in your hands, and the price reflects the used nature of the instrument it...
What is your budget? If you know that Koa does it for you, I’d wait for the opportunity to come along that meets your price point in the second hand market.
KoAloha uses a wide binding on their necks. Note how the fret ends don’t reach to the sides of the neck.
I have a Superior brand soft case. It fits it quite well but isn’t a replacement for a hard case.
Lovely banjo uke rhiggie. I have a tenor of Tommy’s with a 10” pot. Is yours a 10 as well?
We are camping for the week. There is a local fireworks event this evening at the fairgrounds near here we plan to attend. I’ve been Ukin’ all week and my four year old has been exploring her new...
What type of case would this fit inside?
Hi Stacy,
If you are experiencing buzzing strings you may need any combination of nut & saddle adjustment, perhaps fret leveling, or maybe even a warped neck. I’d agree on putting thought into your...

You might also try searching using the term “peghead” as they are used interchangeably.
There are basic headstock shapes used across many stringed instruments, such as the paddle. Many builders or manufacturers adopt a unique a recognizable shape as a visual identifier. A manufacturer...
I enjoy finger picking on a concert as much as with a tenor. I certainly don’t feel limited by a concert. If anything they seems a bit more relaxed to play.
