Outdoor Guitar and Guitalele appear to be the same length and scale, just different strings (hard vs light tension) and higher action on the Guitalele
I am offended, not off topic at all! Just kidding, thought it was a good way of getting around wanting E to E tuning on a scale length that could only go down to A, especially as most open guitar...
interesting discussion, has anyone pulled off the 6th string and made a 5 string ADGBE ?

Me three. Some days i avoid playing altogether if i think i am going to get worse rather than better. However, often after a bit of fun playing i am willing to practice.
Thanks, will check those tips out.
Hi all
Anyone tried acoustic guitar on a modern digital modelling amp? I am thinking about buying an amp for acoustic but also an electric guitar and would like only one amp.
I understand that...
The Pono is 20 inch scale length whereas a lot of guitalele are shorter at 17 to 19 inches, not promising it is good E to E but more likely to be so
I am self taught, i strum and play chords rather than play melody. I pick songs i want to play. I deliberately make sure each song teaches me a new chord, or a new strum pattern or a new finger...
GS mini is lovely, best guitar i have played in a shop but out of my price range. I have had the same experience as you, I started ukulele 3y ago, switching to guitar nearly 2 years ago. I have...
I don't have a leather tong/toggle on my headstock, so when i have my strap at the headstock, the strap comes back at me at an angle so that it slightly gets in the way of my fretting hand. That is...
thanks for the comments. I have short fingers for my height so i can only use thumb to mute the E but not the A. I am able to bend my B string to mute the high e but cant quite imagine muting the A....
Hi all
I am progressing my learning largely from you tube. I have had shoulder issues so although i learnt to barre chord well i have now had to stop.
I have seen quite a few electric guitar...
if DGBE too high, have you considered GDAE or G2CEA (octave ukulele)?
I have an old wooden kneeler from a church. Makes a nice foot rest for guitar and is indestructible. Looks nice with the...

NZ is fortunate to be an island nation and have closed our borders early. We are at the end of the "chain" in terms of outbreak so the last to get hit and acted early, learning from other countries...
I hope my ukulele playing is not that big a privacy issues ;-)
That is clever and gets around the lag problem (everyone is accompanying their own lag)
i know who is going to win that one. Suggest you get headphones for your tablet
Discord? I have no idea if there is lag but it is a great platform.
that is beautiful. I was a little put off because i found the array of wood choices bewildering but i think i really like that black walnut
I started James Hill's course but didnt get far. I think it was in that course he said that the notes that stand out in a chord are
1. the highest note
2. The last note
3. the lowest note
4....
I think if you tune them all slightly differently then it isn't an addiction anymore. It is a purely rational and practical decision. Re-entrant and linear count as different tunings.
Reminds me of a mini dreadnought travel guitar shape

We should be expecting 3 months of cancellations, getting back to normal by 6 months so hopefully October gatherings can go ahead (just in time for northern hemisphere influenza season)
