Thanks for the tip, Mike!
I drink black coffee in the morning, green tea in the afternoon, and sparkling water in the evening. Guess that makes me a heavy drinker! :)
Yeah man, that started out good and then got gooder from there! :)
That's hilarious! :rotfl:
Thanks y'all. I'd love to see more Maui Music uke photos from those who have them.
I have a Maui Music Super Concert that I purchased at Carter Vintage Guitars in Nashville a few years ago. It has a Cedar top and Koa back & sides, with a Florentine cutaway. It's ultra light and...
Thanks for the tip, I really like her songs and her ukulele playing!
The Blackbird Farallon is an awesome uke, and even better with the MiSi pickup. Good luck with the sale!
Thank ya sir, at least two of us have a sense of humour! :)
I've always found things remarkably nice here at UU, although a recent thread about clip-on tuners got a bit Snarky! :biglaugh:
"...the fruit of the noodle", that's awesome!
Very nice, I like those old-time fiddle tunes!
Welcome aboard! Nashville was becoming quite a uke town before Covid hit. There were ukulele jams and workshops all over the place. Maybe we'll be able to crank things up again before long.
I really like Abe's Jazz Ukulele book. He lays it all out in a way that I can understand.
Collings did stop making ukuleles, then they built a small batch of ukes in 2019, and again in 2020, so I pre-ordered this one from a local dealer.
Sounds good, nice rhythmic strum throughout!
Haha, nope this is it. No more buying. In fact, I need to start selling ukes. I've got more ukuleles than I can play!
I ordered a Collings UT2K from Artisan Guitars in July 2020, and it finally arrived after a six-month wait. The timing was great actually, because I sold a uke just last week which helped cover the...
PM sent, thanks!
I just now saw this reply. There's a lot of good stuff about Don Rich in the Buck 'Em book. I'll have to check out The Derailers!
Also, just finished reading 'Skydog: The Duane Allman Story' by...
Hey riprock, I've come to really enjoy your uke journal entries here. I love how everyone brings their own insight and style into playing music, and more so on the ukulele than any other instrument. ...
Wow, unbelievably BEAUtiful! Congratulations and Happy New Year, Braddah Len! :shaka:
Haha, you all funny, make Steedy laugh long time! :biglaugh:
I've been waiting five months for a new Collings uke and still no ETA. Back in June of 2020, Collings announced they were going to make a few more ukuleles, and Artisan Guitars in Nashville told me...
I voted 1-5, only because I already have a Collings Tenor on order. After that, no mas!
