Don't think so. I had a MiSi put into my Flight to replace the original pick-up, and just had one put in my walnut tenor. They're really, really good pickups.

Hi Mark
Is the Elizabeth Pfeiffer book written for high g, low G or both?
Thanks!
Ben
Right - I'm on a roll, now!
Plugged the new electric in and already it sounds great!
BUT - the A string (tuned GCEA) really rasps. I can't see where that is coming from and know nothing about...
Thanks for getting involved and offering your advice too, Brad - I have a feeling that, as I enter the world of sold bodied steel-stringed ukes, I may have a lot of questions!
Ben
That's great - in fact I went for a 2ft cable to run from pedal to amp. It's short, I realise, but will be ok for me in the room I'll play in, I think. And, if it turns out to be annoyingly short...
Super advice again, Kev - thanks so much. I'll be sure to get the shortest cable that works for positioning of the effect(s) relative to amp and then where I need to be to use it/them. 1ft might be a...
Thanks, Kev - shame I can't see more of your Sparrow in the video, but it sounds great. And that wood choice and set up would be very close to what I would go for, I think. nice to hear a positive...
Help me out again, guys:
Single pedal (delay)...what do I need? My cable goes from uke to pedal and then, presumably, another cable from pedal output to amp, yes?
If so, how long a cable would...
Thanks so much again, Steve. I love the people on, and content of, this forum, but where is the upvote button??!!
I'll give you an early report on my foray into solid and steel. Equally excited...
Amazing.
Thanks so much for likely helping me to spend too much money!!
:D
Ben
Oh for goodness' sake! You're trying to suck me in, aren't you?! ;)
My problem is that:
1. I'm just to get my first electric solid body, so that's a new dawn
2. I'm now pretty much always...
Thanks Steve and Anthony
I agree that the Sparrows appear to look pretty well put together - that they care about creating a decent instrument. I am tempted, but I'm not quite 'there' yet in terms...
Oooooh - that T-Rex has got delay too...I like delay!!!
Ben
Sorry you didn't get any feedback, @mjh42...
If I had any knowledge to share, I would have done. However, thanks for starting the thread as it's introduced me to the Electro Harmonix Turnip Greens...
High guys
Contemplating pulling the trigger on a Sparrow tenor or baritone. Anyone got one? Like it? Love it? Hate it?
Would be very grateful for anyone's thoughts and experiences.
Thanks!...
And that's why I couldn't!
Thanks so much!
Ben
Thanks all - the other UU user and I are in touch by email now.
Gosh, I'm useless - trying to see where to close the thread and I can't...will take any tips, and apologies again.
Ben
Little update for those kind enough to read this!
So, the other user did get my message...but my PM page gives absolutely no indication that any of my messages have been sent!
So, you just send...
Thanks for replying, Jerry - I don't think it's a full inbox issue...certainly neither of us had that problem when another user and I were trying to communicate a while ago...
But thanks once...
Does anyone else have pretty much continuous issues with using the PMs on the UU forum?
Is it browser-specific?
Is it just me?!
I really want to contact a member about a uke sale and...
Just to say, and I know I'm kind of being that guy, and it's rather after the event, but that body shape is that of a Fender Jazzmaster, not a Strat! (they share pretty much the same headstock)
...
Beautiful instrument, oddlyorange - clearly substance to match the style. Lovely to look at, but in no way blingy.
The headstock and tuners alone would make me want it!
I've only been playing...
This has now sold - many thanks for those expressing interest.

Toby's website now up and running again, so link to the original details:

Picture of the rosewood tailpiece and indication of how to restring - simple knotted end then feed up through a neat channel in the top of the tailpiece, over the fixed bridge and up to the nut.
