I found the pineapple shape seemed to give a deeper/rounder tone, but I've only had a soprano pineapple - yes, I'd like to have a tenor pineapple, but my UAS is over, & I have moved over to blown...
Still my tenor necked concerts, my tenor necked soprano, & my concert necked sopranos..... :D :music:
Most of my music is in those spiral bound types of music books, but trying to find what I want can be a challenge, even with an index in each!
Yeah, they're cute little instruments, & I keep meaning to get back to my ukes too, but I still poke my nose in here, just to keep up with how things are getting on without me, (very well, & I'm not...
I keep meaning to restart with my ukes too, I've been away about the same amount of time, but my reasons were, & still are, other instruments. :)
My harmonicas, whistles, flutes, & fifes, just...
I have three solid mahogany Ohana ukes, I like their sound, especially with Living Water fluorocarbon low G strings. :)
(concert neck soprano / tenor neck soprano / tenor neck concert)
Living Waters, I have them on nearly all my ukes.
That is not a hairline crack, that is quite big, no I wouldn't entertain buying it, unless it were really cheap.

I like the tone of mahogany, acacia, & spruce on my smaller solid wood ukes,...
Laptop plus a mid quality USB mic into Audacity is how I record my instruments, (not just ukes).
Keep the mic about 12~18" away, & with uke, nearer to the uke than your mouth when singing.
I'll be 71 this year(!) - but if you put it another way - 17 - & some days that's what I feel like, just the body doesn't agree. :D
Have a good week, Berni. :)
The Kala KA-T is the only actual tenor uke that I have, & I keep it because it sounds so good for the price - I too, have had mine for a few years now.
Yeah! There's nothing wrong with our little 4 string guitar substitutes.... :rotfl::music::cheers::rofl:
I liked mine when I tuned it to DGBE too - in fact it might still be, I haven't played it lately, just my long neck concert... :)
I spent a few years here posting on the Seasons thread - now I just pop in & leave the occasional comment - I keep meaning to come back & post something in one of the Seasons, but I've mainly moved...
Now let me see, what rhymes with tart - heart, part, mart, cart, dart, far.....oh, I see..... :D
I don't usually give advice unless asked for, in which case I only give my opinion. ;)
Storage trunks seem to be all the rage these days, so get a couple & put all your bags into them, use as seating or coffee tables.
I have a Clearwater (Vorson), & whilst it works OK, I'd go for the Flight, because it's got the looks that you want. :)
I lost over a stone (14lbs) a year ago, put on some pounds, (I blame Covid lock down), but will be trying to lose some more, once we are aloud out to play again. ;)
Where I live now, I can't cycle...
Definitly cats! :)
They even warm your chair up for you...... ;)
Sorry to hear of your difficulties, Jack, maybe try slack key, barre chords on a g/GCEG tuned uke(?).
I think Ylle is looking to see what you might get up to behind closed doors.........
.....playing with??????
:smileybounce::rofl:
