I'll second the Worth Clears and Oasis Brights, but Living Water strings are my favorite. Maybe not as bright as Worth or Oasis strings, but they're very resonant, and they're easy on my fingertips....

It's interesting how our favourite ukuleles change over time.
My current top three are:
Kamaka HF-3 Tenor
Kanile'a K-1 Tenor
Romero Creations Tiny Tenor
They're the ones I play the most...
John Grisham's novels are like literary crack cocaine. Once you starting reading them, you can't quit!
'The Witching Hour' by Anne Rice. A very spooky tale! I love Anne Rice's early novels, and I've read this one before, but it was so long ago that it's like I'm reading it for the first time again. ...
Aldrine Guerrero, Daniel Ho, Dani Joy, Abe Lagrimas, Jr.
Yep, they are long-lasting. They settle in quickly and then stay in tune nicely, in my experience.
Jim, I honestly didn't realize they are 18:1 tuners, cause they don't feel like it to me. You know, like the ones where you have to turn and turn and turn to get the slightest change in pitch.
Nice job on the swap, and I agree 100% about the Hipshot tuners! I bought a Red Label Tenor a couple of years ago that came with Hipshots, and they are super smooth and precise. I wish more of my...
I just finished reading two novels by Erin Morgenstern: 'The Night Circus' and 'The Starless Sea'. Both were good reads about worlds filled with magic. She's a very gifted writer and a great...
Yah, those Mainland Red Cedar Tenors are pretty sweet ukes. I had one and then sold it, and I've missed it ever since!
Lovely instrument, nice photos too! Love those Moonbirds.
Living Waters.
No problem, it is a very nice guitar. I replied to your PM with ordering info, thanks!
Thanks for the tip, Mike!
I drink black coffee in the morning, green tea in the afternoon, and sparkling water in the evening. Guess that makes me a heavy drinker! :)
Yeah man, that started out good and then got gooder from there! :)
That's hilarious! :rotfl:
Thanks y'all. I'd love to see more Maui Music uke photos from those who have them.
I have a Maui Music Super Concert that I purchased at Carter Vintage Guitars in Nashville a few years ago. It has a Cedar top and Koa back & sides, with a Florentine cutaway. It's ultra light and...
Thanks for the tip, I really like her songs and her ukulele playing!
The Blackbird Farallon is an awesome uke, and even better with the MiSi pickup. Good luck with the sale!
Thank ya sir, at least two of us have a sense of humour! :)
I've always found things remarkably nice here at UU, although a recent thread about clip-on tuners got a bit Snarky! :biglaugh:
"...the fruit of the noodle", that's awesome!
Very nice, I like those old-time fiddle tunes!
