I just got a Kiwaya KTS-7 in October after giving my last uke, an LFDM tenor, to my wife. If Rick Turner starts building his Tenor Jumbos again I will get one. I have been waiting for him to do so...

No luck on the Compass Rose for 2020. Maybe 2021 will be luckier. I did get a Kiwaya KTS-7 soprano and I’m playing it at least once a month. Going for at least twice a month in 2021.

Every uke sounds different, even ones of the same model.

I would have kept the better looking one. They both sounded fine.

A one and only forever uke on the first purchase is a long shot indeed. If it was a Martin 5K soprano I could see that happening.

I had to buy my Kiwaya soprano from the UK. I bought a KTS-7 from Matt Stead at The Uke Room. I received it in 5 days!

Aqula has a uke string set tuned in 5ths for concert ukulele. They work on tenors too. I think its a fun change of pace, especially if you have an extra concert ukulele lying around.

I had a Ken Timms, a 1920s Martin Style O, and now have a Kiwaya KTS-7. The Timms was unbelievably loud, the 1920s Martin had the mojo, and the Kiwaya KTS-7 is a thing of beauty.
