There are good resources for blues for both types of tuning.
C.B. Gitty has parts for your desired builds. They tend to be on cheap side, but will work.
Hey Mike, I am not a qualified luthier, however I have shimmed a few saddles. I recommend using the hardest material you can work with for the shim. Dense wood or plastic will work. The energy from...
Hey Tony it looks great, any chance for a sound sample?

This is purely coincidental, last Friday I was at a local hole in the wall called "The Railyard" in Mission BC.
The performers were from Windsor - Mark Crampsie on guitar and Jennie Brice on...
Update, I used hide glue, magnets and a home made clamp to fix the cracks. I used magnets to glue the cracks shut. I placed two cleats on the inside with the aid of of a home built clamp. The home...

Thanks Pete, I found this description of candling testing.

Hey PetalumaResuke the sound board is flat. I also saw no signs of bridge rotation.
The top was installed during the winter, however our winters are not cold or dry. Nine degrees (Celsius)and...
Thanks for the responses. I believe the final thickness was about 1.7mm.
I agree the cracks look so similar that they may have been there all along.
I am guilty of only clamping the thicker...
Here are the pictures.
