I would also recommend Rob MacKillop's work. He has several excellent books for DADGAD tuning:

Beautifully played, as usual! I noticed some pretty difficult chord voicings in your arrangement as well. And those LFdMs really sing don't they? :D
GirlMeetsUke has a very good, detailed review of this instrument here:

Thanks for this! I totally agree, that uke looks and sounds great. I love the Keim's music--true artists in my humble opinion.
Abigail Flowers has some lessons on jazz chords for baritone as well as many excellent jazz covers:

I did exactly that with my Caramel baritone-sized guitalele, also tuned in standard. The stock strings weren't very good and felt pretty floppy, but once I switched to the D'Addario hard tension...
Great, thanks for the info Brenda!
Cheers,
Roger
Just excellent--thank you for this. Baritones rule!
Hi Brenda, I'm in Mississauga, ON, so I'm right next door! Would love to be part of your group. Can we PM for details? Thanks.
Thanks very much for pointing out Samantha Muir's article on alternate tunings! Very informative indeed.
Good question regarding parallel tunings. I don't really know, but Sam Muir includes them...
Beautifully played--as usual! :D

Open C is just great for slide, isn't it?
I keep a number of instruments semi-permanently in different tunings as well. Some guitars and ukes just seem well suited for certain tunings--that's what...
You bet! I tried playing this tuning with a low B and it sounds just as good, if a bit darker and bluesier. But I like that sound, so it's great either way. It's a strange and wonderful tuning, and...
From the master, James Hill: BEBE for baritone ukulele.

Very beautiful--you make that uke sing!
They are indeed. I recently bought Mike Lynch's excellent "Ukulele Solo Instrumentals (Volume 1)" from his and his family's website here. The full catalog is available there as a PDF for full details...
I would recommend "10 Old Time Tunes for Baritone Ukulele" by Aaron and Nicole Keim.
Though not a blues book, the songs (mostly traditional) have excellent and highly melodic arrangements.
My advice is that whatever you're learning, start as slow as possible.
For strumming, you can start by only using your thumb, using all down-strokes at first and then, after becoming comfortable...
That is a beautiful arrangement--thank you for posting your performances; they're lovely. :)
Those Romero Creations are also something special.
Increasingly, I'm starting to think that the baritone ukulele is the most perfect of instruments. If you come from a guitar background, then learning it in standard DGBE tuning is not a problem. It's...
I would also highly recommend Aaron and Nicole Keim's books. I recently bought "10 Old Time Tunes for Baritone Ukulele" and "Fingerstyle Ukulele" from their website (quietamericanmusic.com). Their...
Brilliant, thank you Samantha!
Hi all,
I recently purchased Mike Lynch's Chord Melody eBook (Volume One) with no problems (through PayPal). I received the eBook the next day with a warm message from Colleen. The only glitch was...
