I have a colleague who is just starting to play and she heard from my son (I'm a teacher; he's in her class) that I have a custom uke and she wanted to see it.

In its heyday there would sometimes be two "K's" in the same day. I get a lot more work done these days than I did back then. I did bring my uke to work today. Going to see how long this playing streak lasts. Day 3 so far.

I frequently use "pop culture" references that cause my students to look like the RCA Dog. Head tilted, brows furrowed and general confusion all around. In my head my references are contemporary but in reality the kids weren't even born. Need to turn in my chalk board soon.

About to repeat myself for three classes in a row. I forget what I say to which class. Also makes it feel like my memory is going.
