I have the tab to Ripple somewhere on a thumb drive transposed from the mandolin part. I will post it when I get to a computer.

I May have develped a system to convert guitar tabs to uke tabs

I looked at the charts yesterday and I like them. Not only are you converting a song you are also learning the notes on the fretboard. The system I use is here http://fretboard-toolbox.com/Free_Pages_.html. I take a song for another instrument and write out the fret number or note. Then I match...

I May have develped a system to convert guitar tabs to uke tabs

I understand what you are trying as I do something similar with mandolin tab or notation. I made a kind of "fretboard sliderule". I am trying the same thing for the banjo.

Great video! I have pretty much quit trying to play claw hammer. It was frustrating me to no end. I may pick it back up as some new members of our uke group in Richmond play claw hammer banjo.

Awesome video. I went to our local ukulele jam and did "Good and Greasy" last night. Got bad stage fright and miffed it a bit, but it was fun.

Song Help Request Folk Song Chords

Hey the blog looks good. The only thing I would do is chord out the entire song. At my uke group that seems to be a concern with some of the newer players that cant hear when to make the chord change. You might want to check out the Applachain tabs and chords thread. We have collected a great...

I started working on Aaron's videos and tab for his bluegrass lessons yesterday. It is great being able to watch some of the video and pause it to learn a section with the tab in front of you.

hops75, That's exactly right. It takes awhile to get it. I would hold a G7 chord and do the "bum-dit-ty" over and over, realize I was doing it, then get excited and screw it up. THe best way to start out is to do the tok-tik over and over then start adding the thumb. Just let your thumb rest on...

Song Help Request Appalachian Tabs and Chords

23 pretty much covered it there. The only thing I would add is you are sort doing a knocking on the door motion with your hand. If you feel you just can't get the hang of it you can try the thumb and strum. Pluck the g or C string with your thumb and then down strum. It would go pluck strum...

Nice Chocolate Drops video. I was working on Good and greasy this week as a thumb and strum style. Has anyone else worked something up?
