Season 639 - You Tell ME What the Theme Is

Part 3 and end of this story about Mr. Beard's attempts to tame his sideways beard. Featuring Jon on concert ukulele. Maybe there is a happy ending... It is not intentional that Mr Beard looks like a wasted rock guitarist here... Also, there are 2 seasonistas who appear in this video...

    Season 638: Road signs

I was thinking of Nick Drake's Road but i sat down just down and recorded this instead. It has the word "stop" in it. I used the world's cheapest mic with the longest cable. The cable never got untangled. still works. Thanks for hosting, Dave! EDIT: my version is after Jerry Garcia's.

Season 637 - Here and Now

Welcome to my mother's kitchen. Today I wanted to test out my old (maybe vintage?) camera. The audio quality from the internal mic is pretty crappy, but at least you can hear what I am singing and the ukulele. I thought the mic of my Samsung phone might be better so I turned it on as well...

Season 637 - Here and Now

hey Marin! Thanks for hosting! I think this Bill Callahan song fits. The person in the song was told off by a woman at a bar for having an ego the size of Texas. He replied: Well, I'm new here, and I forget. Does it mean big, or small? I've always loved this song. Love the hypnotic way Bill...

Season 636 - One for sorrow...

Jon reminded me about this song by Jean Ritchie, which we had recorded together several years ago. It is perfect for the theme!
